Instructions To Complete I-9 Form

  1. Complete Section I then take I-9 to a Notary to complete Section II.  Be sure to have either your passport or two other forms of ID with you for ID verification - the list of acceptable documents is on the I-9 form.  NOTE:  The  I-9 can be notary stamped on Page 2 above "Certification".  The Notary Stamp is required for RAIN purposes  Start Date should be the date the form is being notarized.


  2. Google to find a Notary Public near you.  Most UPS Stores have a notary.

  3. As the Applicant you can complete Section 1.  The Notary Public completes Section 2.

  4. Notary Publics are authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to complete and sign Section II of the I-9 form.  The Department of Homeland Security does not require the Notary to have specific agreements or other documentation for Form I-9 purposes.  When completing Form I-9, the Notary must physically examine each document presented to determine if it reasonably appears to be genuine and relates to the employee presenting it.  Reviewing or examining documents via webcam is not permissible.   The notary public is acting as an authorized representative of you, not as a notary.  The notary public must perform the same required actions as an authorized representative.


  5. Submit a CONTACT US via with your scanned completed, signed, and notarized I-9.  Be sure to include your forms of ID listed on the I-9 form.
