RAIN Resources Go-Live Support Service allows healthcare organizations to "share” their employees to support Epic go-live events, implementations, and other short-term efforts throughout the healthcare community. For their particular event, implementation, or effort, the healthcare organization provides a core team of their own employees and that core team is supplemented, as needed, with employees from other RAIN Resources healthcare organizations. All requests for Go-Live Support Services funnel through RAIN Resources to ensure communication and management of the positions. RAIN Resources announces all new positions through our website and provides the administrative and contractual management of the service. Registered RAIN Resources members are encouraged to post their resume on RAIN's website and consider the variety of Go-Live opportunities. Selection of resources is based upon the needed skills and an individual’s availability. Participants use their PTO in order to participate in a Go-Live event. The support needs will vary from a few hours to a few days, depending upon the particular effort. All support employees are paid a competitive hourly rate for their work and pay rates are consistent regardless of the organization that is supported. RAIN's Go-Live Support Service provides opportunities for:
Comments From Our Healthcare Organizations:Dr. Ray Gensinger, Jr., Chief Medical Information Officer, Fairview Health Services --- "We all struggle to find affordable and knowledgeable go live support to augment our core staff. It just seemed logical to turn to our community partners for help. Not only do we provide a service for each other but it also creates opportunities to learn best practice from each other as well.” Scott Novogoratz, Vice President of Clinical Systems, Aurora Advanced HealthCare -- "The Go-Live Support Service allows all of us to provide more value to our organizations. We can learn and help one another, and decrease our Epic transition costs, while giving our staff the opportunity to utilize their skills and be compensated for it.” Dennis Hofer, Vice President IT, Sanford Health -- "This endeavor of "Go-Live Support” is the beginning of a journey that will enable our health care facilities to support an implementation that will lead to the delivery of quality care to the patients we serve.” Comments From Our Resources:Dr. Alan Berger, Divisions of Cardiology and Epidemiology, University of Minnesota -- "An exciting experience that provided me the opportunity to modernize the electronic medical record system in a large community hospital. As a support person, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of physicians with varying levels of experience in EMR systems. The physicians were highly appreciative of our presence and I believe our efforts significantly improved the transition and adoption of the new EMR system.”
Dr. Mark Sakran, Georgetown University Medical Center -- "I am thrilled to be part of an electronic medical records support team which, throughout my residency, has provided me with the ability to financially support my family and keep me up to date with the constantly changing EMR medical field. Thank you RAIN!" Dr. David Hilden, Department of Medicine, Hennepin County Medical Center -- "My colleagues and I found that simply knocking on a doctor's door led to productive conversation about Epic and how he/she could best utilize it. In this way we got to know the physicians and nurses and the work-flow of the clinics. Staff physicians had several issues regarding the process of charting and billing a resident physician's notes, etc. that had been unresolved for weeks and they were simply dealing with it with "work-arounds." We were able to find the solution they needed on the spot. And in that way I think we were most useful." |
